Parking

You may have noticed a change in the parking in and around FOP Headquarters since the beginning of the year. The parking lot on the Broad Street side of 1336 was leased by us and the owner of the lot planned to raise the fee substantially. Basically, after a long relationship the owner, who also owns 511 North Broad Street, disappointed us with his tactics and forced us to leave.

We decided that we could service the membership of Lodge 5 and our guests just as well without having the expense of the lot, combined with the fact we were able to obtain the unused and larger capacity lot on the NE corner of Broad and Spring Garden Streets. FOP Employees will park in the lot and members visiting the Lodge will see the front of the Lodge clear for them to pull up and transact business.

For event parking members and their guests are free to make use  of the Broad and Spring Garden lot by using the entrance on westbound Brandywine Street which is entered from 13th Street, just north of Spring Garden. A gateway has been created allowing you to walk onto Spring Garden Street. The walkway is  along the wall with the old school.

We at Lodge 5 are committed to serve you and this change, while something different than what we have done in the past, is a change for the better.
